A Solution for Overdue Fines

Do you forget when your library materials are due? There is a new internet service called Library Elf that could help. The service sends you email alerts reminding you of your library holds, overdues, and due dates so you will have plenty of time to login to your personal account and renew the materials. When materials become overdue not only are you charged fines, but you will not be able to request new materials from the catalog. You can register one or more library cards from the same elf account to track overdues for the whole family or for multiple library systems. Massachusetts library systems compatible with Library Elf include:
  • NOBLE (MCC)
  • CWMARS
  • Minuteman (Bedford and surrounding area)
  • MVLC (Lowell and the Merrimack Valley)

Once you've established an account you can login, view account settings, and add additional cards from the same or different library systems. The settings tab includes an options menu to customize your account.
