Resume Information

Now that it is the end of the semester you might be trying to put together a resume or cover letter to get that perfect summer job. The library has both books (HF5370+)and Electronic books through netlibrary that can help. In the catalog you can search for:

  • Resumes

  • Cover letters

  • Vocational guidance

  • Job hunting

  • Careers
Books and job information associated with specific careers will be shelved in those areas. If you are having problems identifying resources please contact our reference staff for assistance via email or IM through the library's home page.

Templates available to assist you.

Microsoft Word, available on all computers in the library, includes resume and other templates that you might find helpful with your job search. These can be reached by

  • Opening Microsoft Word
  • From the Windows Option Button select New


A task pane will open on the right hand side of the screen

  • A few resumes can be found in the installed templates
  • Templates for resumes (Resumes and CVs) Cover Letters (letters), References (Lists), Employment forms (forms) and job descriptions might also be helpful.
  • Templates from the Microsoft Office online gallery will need to be downloaded.

Students needing additional assistance please contact Career Services on the Bedford Campus or Lowell Campus. Counselors can take a quick look at completed resumes or for more extensive assistance you will need to make an appointment.
